Entries Have Closed For The Inaugural 'Art West Landscape Prize' 2020

Entry to the Art West Landscape Prize has closed and the committee now have the massive task of collating all entries in preparation for hanging and judging. This is the groups major event of the year which attracts considerable interest.

Prize money for the competition is $500 for first prize with two $100 prizes for Highly Commended chosen by independent judge Marcel Desbiens (Master Oil Painter) and awarded at the Exhibition opening night function on Thursday July 23rd. There will also be the Colin Williams Prize of $100 for the best idea and vision, plus Riot Art have kindly sponsored a $100 prize for the best use of colour and there will be a prize of $100 for the Peoples Choice, which will be awarded at the completion of the exhibition.

The entered work must be a landscape. The term 'landscape' is to be understood broadly and is not intended as a limitation on approach, for example, seascapes and cityscapes are acceptable within the definition as are abstract landscapes.

The Landscape Prize Exhibition runs from Tuesday 21st of July 2020 until Saturday 12th of September 2020.

This will be a popular event with a high standard of entries so it is definitely worth your while to pop down to see and vote for your favorite.
