Natasha is an emerging artist based in Brisbane Qld. Her studio is nestled in a hilly rural suburb west of the city. Apart from her husband and 3 children she is also joined by her menagerie of animals.

Her passion for painting started when she lived in Colorado USA and immersed herself in the Denver Art Community. She learnt to paint oils in the “alla prima” style from many USA Master Oil Painters. This painting style is created in one sitting and often painted wet on wet, producing fresh, loose, and visible brush strokes that give the work a playful, painterly energy. Her contrasting opaques with translucent colours, as well as the use of light and shade all result in producing a beautiful atmospheric feel.

She was further inspired through many workshops with other leading Artists in the USA through The Scottsdale Art School in Arizona and The Plein Air Convention in Santa Fe which brought together 900 artists from around the world. Artists that influenced her during this time were Qiang Huang, Carol Marine and Aimee Deneweth.

Since returning to Australia the native flora and fauna of her homeland has been her recent inspiration. Her paintings are sold across Australia and internationally through Europe and USA.
