Growing up in country Queensland, I was inspired by the beauty of the natural world. Combining this love of nature & a background in photography, I capture the essence of life through my lens and into my brushstrokes. I love the feeling of creating something meaningful for a client, or the challenge of portraying my subject as realistically as possible, hopefully evoking an emotional response from the viewer. Using the effects of light and shadows, I aim to capture the intricate details of my subjects, to convey a sense of realism in my art, whether it’s flowers, animals or seascapes. My favourite mediums are Oils, Acrylics and Pastels. *Finalist in The Holmes Prize for Excellence in Realistic Australian Bird Art 2024.
