Mariana (Mari) Titeica
Mari's work reflects her belief that art, like travel, is a journey of discovery—one that celebrates curiosity, wonder, and the beauty found in unexpected places. Mariana began painting during the COVID years as a quiet creative experiment. This has since grown into a committed practice centered on color, abstraction, and the belief that making art should feel joyful, even when it is challenging. Her creative lens has been shaped by eighteen months spent driving overland through thirty countries from Brisbane to London, during which she captured thousands of photographs.
Working in acrylics, Mari is drawn to vibrant semi-abstract work that captures the emotion, movement, and beauty of the landscapes and natural forms she encountered. Using bold colors and energetic brushwork, her paintings invite viewers to explore their own memories, emotions, and connections to the natural world. She works under the name "Mari Learns to Paint" because, for her, learning is the point. Mari is a proud new member of the Art West Community Gallery.
